Japan <-> France

The Thin Place, who have studied Japanese culture and created art with a French sensibility, are a symbol of the French music scene, and they will be performing in Japan for the first time. Vocalist Funnell has performed in Japan several times with his solo band, and has the experience of thrilling the discerning audience at Tsukimiru. We are very much looking forward to this new project.

Hearing that such artists from France would be coming to Japan, three groups who will express themselves through their sensibility gathered together. Each group will be performing at a highly anticipated event.

The Thin Place

The Thin Place is a unique art project that was realized when Funel, a singer and musician based in Toulouse in the south of France, and Joan Thomas, a photographer from Catalonia, Spain, met. Funel's music, which fuses European indie electropop with traditional Japanese music and sings in English, Japanese, and French, and Joan Thomas's photographs, which delicately express the uniqueness of Okinawa, transcend concepts of space and time, blurring the boundaries between the audience and the stage, and providing an experience in which the audience becomes a part of the work. Their performance shakes up the senses of the viewer and gives us a new perspective in a space where different cultures coexist.

Kitamura Fuki

She began learning piano and children's songs from an early age, and later participated in the national competition as a representative of Tohoku at the National Children's Song Singing Competition. Umei Misaki," and performed at "ROKIE A GO-GO" at "FUJI ROCK FESʼ 23." Her musicality, which mixes various genres such as dance music, jazz, folk, and electronica, has attracted attention. She has also participated in the remix of tomggg feat. ena mori's "Strawberry Milk," participated in the original soundtrack of the drama "Earth Walker" by Tomita Lab, and is a DJ under the name asak, attracting attention for her multi-faceted activities.

Onomatopoeia

A unit consisting of singer-songwriter Yokozawa Laura and pianist Kudo Takuto.

The songs incorporate rhythm and wordplay, and the lyrics draw on the worldview of allegorical tales from artists such as Kenji Miyazawa, with a musical sensibility influenced by classical impressionism, jazz, and pop rock.
